Funding
The funding for a merchant’s deposits will see no affect. The example below outlines the scenario if a merchant’s card rate were set to 3.75% higher than the cash rate.
1 – The customer’s credit card receipt will display the card rate for goods and services.
2 – On the following day, the total amount is deposited in the merchant’s bank account along with other transactions authorized for that day.
3 – The 3.75% ($3.75) difference that was originally charged to the customer is redirected to the processor in lieu of monthly processing fees.
